Ok, so my sister in law just went into labor last night (Thursday) and here it is Friday and she is calling us from home. I thought that was kind of weird. This is her thrird child, but it came early. She isnt due till the middle of September and she said that she has been doing things for an early arrival of the baby. For all you mothers out there, how long did you stay in the hospital after giving birth?

Typically, you'll stay in the hospital for 2 days after a vaginal birth, and about 5 days with a C-section, provided that you've had no other complications. There are some places that will send you home one day after a vaginal birth.

i gave birth to my baby when he was 7 months. i stayed at the hospital for a day and went home without him.he still needed to be observed (because he is pre-mature), he is strong so we went back to get him 48 hours after delivery.

Well with my 1st son 2 days...they usually request two days max with 1st baby. If you have had children you can ask them to let you leave early as long as mom and baby are both healthy.
