So, the Morton group was going to pay $30 million to name the new home of the Arizona Cardinals the Pink Taco Stadium. They recently opened up a restaurant here in Scottsdale named the Pink Taco. hah hah funny funny but come on... the Stadium?!! I believe the stadium owner turned down the offer but what are your thoughts? As me being an Arizona native, I would be pretty embarrassed for our state if he does take the offer.

Yyyyyyeahh, uh,...heard about the restaurant. Heard that they're changing the name. First I heard about the stadium, tho',...must say, while I personally enjoy a pink taco myself, I'd be irate if a stadium in my home state was named after one. Say, was there a bond issue that paid for the construction? I'd have to think that it was the voters' rights to say a thing or 2 about such a naming issue,...

USA today reported the Cards already said no. It is intentional sexual innuendo and while it may sell taco's it will never fly for the NFL. They plan to use that stadium for all kinds of events besides football as well, I doubt they could.
I really like it though, I could eat pink taco's all day.
Imagine: " Live from Pink Taco Stadium, The ARIZONA CARDINALS!!!"

The NFL would step in and nix the deal if the Cardinals went ahead with trying to name the stadium that.

30 million is a lot of dough to turn down, but another company is going to step up and pay for the naming rights eventally.

Pink Taco Stadium? That sounds like a horrible name- for any team in any sport.

It was just a publicity thing -- you know they would have never named the new stadium after the Pink Taco. It sure worked well, though. That restuarant was all over the news.
