Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Prince of Tennis, Mar, Hikaru No Go. Movies are : Naruto the Movie, Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.Princess Mononoke, The Cat Returns, and Spirited Away.

Cowboy Bebop is one of the greatest ever, the perfect blend of action & comedy.
Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Panic & Trigun are excellent too.
If you want more drama, try Ruroni Kenshin,Ghost in the Shell or Witch Hunter Robin. For really twisted humor there's Fooley Cooley (FLCL) and Excel Saga.
For the romantic anime, I have no idea & defer to others....
