I don't think any of my dogs really cares.
Neither do I.

I think anyone who thinks about what an animal is called is thinking way too much. We call a male donkey an "a s s", right? Is that demeaning? No because I doubt the donkies care.. I think its pretty silly for anyone to be offended if I call my animals pets. "Companion Animal" may be an appropriate term if the people are sleeping with their animals, then I suppose that "pet" is demeaning. But I HOPE no one is doing this, sooooo.... I don't think it should require this much thought... I guess people can call their animals what they wish. Maybe children would rather be called young people, too?

Why do you've this aversion to reality and reality? An egg is an egg and a sperm is a sperm or maybe as they combine a foetus (Please observe the splendid spelling) is shaped. A foetus isn't a baby and ought to die if faraway from the womb. The foetus does no longer have the mandatory issues mandatory for existence outside of the mummy. there's a lively debate about even as it adjustments from a foetus right into somewhat one in the womb notwithstanding the final consensus that is on the point the position that is shaped sufficiently to be able to live on outside the female's body. you actually do unlike a time period it really is an significant area of understanding the ranges of childbirth and in case you bumped off it then it ought to complicate how a being pregnant is regulated and ought to in reality bring about foetal abnormalities or maybe lack of existence! those words are used for truly significant causes!

No, it's not demeaning. Humans are superior to animals. "Companion animal" is just more PC liberal b*llsh*t.
Animals should always be treated in a kind way, but they should never be considered to be on an equal basis with humans.

I'd say companion animal. Pet seems too cruel. Like slavery. Companion animal is the way to go!

My dog prefers to be called "Head High Honcho of the World and Queen Empress of the Known Universe (including some parts of Australia.)
She is also known informally as "Daddy's Widdle Pwincess," if that tells you anything about the situation that I've got going here. ;-)

How P.C.!
I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds and a fish. They are my pets, spoiled rotten, incredibly happy.
And my pets are a part of my family.

Umm... that's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I think that it's not that serious I have a PET dog and he doesn't seem to mind to be called that.

"Companion animal" is much to politically correct. I think "pet" sounds much more loving and compassionate. But, then again, I never call my dog "pet" I call him by his first name "Bruno"
