I had leakage before but very light, after I did breastfeed but I also gave the bottle. I had to go back after work too I would pump the milk before work and on a break I would go to the restroom and pump more then when I got home I would feed. My sister is only breastfeeding so while she is at work her daughter does not eat. If you decided to breast feed please give your child a bottle too so it can at least eat while your at work.

I did for the last month of my first pregnancy not bad at all. With my current pregnancy I have had it since 4 months, for the last month or so I could have pumped enough colostrum to feed every day successfully I swear! Its been bad leakage this time around. I am due on Monday
I am not going to breastfeed for the exact reason you said, PLUS the fact that only one of my breasts sufficiently makes milk. And because my first was fed with formula, he was on Enfamil Lipil when it was new, he hasn't barely been sick a day in his life and he is ahead of his class.
On the other hand, breastfeeding is very good for your child, you don't have to be "tied down" you can pump and freeze breastmilk. I would HIGHLY reccomend at least trying it before you say no. I did, I thought it was way too painful and didn't like it, but everyone is different, it isn't like you sign a contract that says, ok I am ONLY going to breastfeed, you can do a mixture of both or breastfeed for a while and the gradually switch to formula. When you have the baby speak with a lactation consultant, they will better be able to work through any anxiety, questions, fears or concerns.
GOOD LUCK!

I would definitely breast feed. It is much easier in the middle of the night. You do not have to get up and warm a bottle or even fix them. When you go back to work you will need a pump. I actually rented one from a Medical Supply. I did have nipple leakage right before I gave birth. I was so shocked. It just started rolling out. I started wearing a padded bra to absorb the leakage. After the baby was born and I went back to work, the instant I smelled baby lotion my breast began leaking! Just from the smell. I had to stop after about 3 months, I did not produce enough milk. But I definitely would try.

I had a little leakage before the baby was born about 3 weeks. I breastfed up until 2 weeks ago (baby was almost 6 months old) I went back to work at 7 weeks. I stopped nursing and began pumping for all feedings except middle of the night. It was hard in the beginning, but I wouldnt trade it for the world. Nice to pump and not always be worried about not knowing how much baby drank, but have to do what works for you and your baby!!!

I have a ton of leakage - and have since before 20 weeks.... and it only got heavier when I hit 32 weeks or so... I've been soaking through a bra and shirt since early in my 2nd trimester. I started wearing nursing pads late in my 2nd trimester because I would soak through my shirt during the day, and now I'm in the ultra thick ones.
I'm going to breastfeed, yes. I also have an excellent pump to help me cope and give my husband some of the feedings :)
I have to return back to work 3 weeks from delivery, but I work out of my house - so there is a big difference for me. My husband also works out of our house... so that's advantage number two.
Good luck!

I am 38 weeks, and I have had a little, tiny bit of leakage. I plan on breastfeeding.
I would recommend getting a nice pump (like the Pump In Style) for when you go back to work. I hear from LOTS of mommies that they loved that pump.
Good luck!

That is normal for women in about there 7th month of pregnancy. Over stimulation can cause it earlier. There is nothing wrong with it. Im only 22 weeks so I havent started leaking yet, but it happens. I wont be able to breastfeed. Its easier to lose weight if you breastfeed and you can also lose sensitivity. Good Luck.

It is not uncommon. You have options with breastfeeding. You can pump and give the baby the milk. Breast feed for a couple weeks so the baby can get the benefits of the colostrum. Only nurse for 6 weeks. It's up to you. You just need to do what is right for you and your baby.
Good luck.

Yes a lot of the time milk comes in before baby gets here. Breastfeeding is wonderful, for both mom and baby. I'm on third baby, breast fed older two till age of one year, youngest is only nine months, still feeding her naturally. it is worth all the time. you can sit and stare at all the wonders of the new little person's face!!!!

I didn't leak while pregnant, but, did afterwards. I wore nursing pads to help. They are great. As to breast feeding, do it. You can use a pump so that you can get milk even when you return to work. My daughter had a very hard time taking a bottle. When I went to work, my s/o had to use a bottle, and he had a hard time getting her to drink form it. When I got home I'd have to take over. It was a great bonding time.
