Ok I know this is kind of grosse, but what did your mucous plug look like? With my first pg I was induced and barely got to see what it was like when I lost it, I do remember it being stringy and had a bit of blood. I am due on Monday with my second, I was just out to eat and went to the restroom and something that I can best describe as silcon like, thick clear and gel like, (a very good amount) came out of me. Is this my mucous plug? And if so how long after you lost yours did you go into labor? I am going to be induced in a week if I don't deliver naturally so I am anxious to know.

That is your mucus plug...for some women it is slightly bloody. For me it was just as you described and I went into labor 4 days later. It really varies. My one friend didn't go into labor until almost 2 weeks after she lost hers and my other friend went into labor that same day. It should be soon, and you probably won't have to be induced. It sounds like the same thing that I had. With my first baby, I lost my mucous plug on New Year's Day and she was born on Jan. 16th. With the second baby, I lost it about 2 days before I went into labor.

That sounds exactly what mine looked like, although whenI lost mine I had a considerable amount of blood with it, so the doctor had me stay to keep an eye on me. But congratulations and best of luck!! Also, I went into labor the same day I lost it, but it varies person to person.

I've had two kids. Sounds to me like that was your mucous plug. The labor could start any time now, or it could still take days... everyone is different. I would say that your time is close!

I delievered both my children 100% natural. My son though I don't remember cause I was in too much pain. With my daughter it freaked me out cause I went to the restroom and I thought I had to pee but it was moucus and a lot of blood. The doctor told me it was my mousus plug and there was nothing to worry about I had my daughter that same day.

when I went in to labor with my son I never saw a mucous plug any gel or anything of the sort

I lost mine, in the early a.m. but it was just like you described but a little bloody.. I had my son I'd say less than 24 hrs later!

it sounds like it was...i lost mine slowly over 2 days--but it was exactly like that! then about 1week later i went into labor (with the 1st) --and 2 weeks after with the second baby. congratulations!!!
