I know, I know, Everyone is going to say the 3rd Dimention, but when you think of it this way, wouldn't we be living in the 6th Dimention?...

In movies, they are 2D (We can see them and we can hear them, right?) In 3D movies not only can we hear them and see them, but they also become more than just front and back, they now have sides, let's say they're bulgy. In 4D movies, you can either feel something like water being sprayed on you or something along that line, so now we have 4D (Sight, Hearing Them, Feeling, and 'Bulgy-ness').

So, considering we have all 5 senses and we are 'bulgy' then wouldn't this be 6D or the 6th Dimention?

I've been wondering this for quite some time, and please don't answer if all you're going to say is "This is the 3rd Dimention". Give me a reason of why I am wrong.

Thank You In Advance.

Whatever, I spelled "Dimension" wrong, I'm not perfect and if that's all you have to say then please don't answer. Besides that, I know that I'm making senses into Dimensions, but if that is not true then why do we call a movie that adds an extra sense 4D? Rather than just continuing to call it 3D? Thanks for all your answers!

BTW, one other thing, For those of you who are telling me "USE SPELL CHECK!!!", I want you to know there is NO SPELL CHECK for the box where you put the details to your question. There is NO SPELL CHECK for this, "Add Details", either.

that is some good work
you have put in a very good argument

I to some extent agree with you
but for convenience stick with Einstein's 4-dimensions
as dimensions are not based on our senses

any way CONGRATULATION for the GOOD WORK

dimensions have to do with planes, not senses. You may be talking about the 6th sense, E.S.P .
Back to the question, 1 dimension is a piece of paper. It becomes 2 dimension if you pick it up and there is 2 sides. 3 dimension is something that has volume, length, width and height for example a rock.

Without meaning to criticise your definition/concept of "dimension", it is not conventional. You have equated "dimension" with what might be termed "sensory input channel".

2D is conventionally defined to be planar (referring to a plane or surface), the two dimensions being length and width/breadth. 3D is conventionally defined to be volumetric (referring to a volume or solid), the three dimensions being length, width/breadth and height/depth. The 4th dimension is usually thought of as being time.

There is a somewhat related spiritual concept of dimensions, according to which for most of our existence on this planet, we've been living in the 3rd dimension. As of Jan 1 2001, most "moved" or "transitioned" into the 4th dimension. Some who are more attuned are said to be living in the 5th dimension and eventually will transition to the 6th, which is the realm of what we would call angels.

1st dimension is a point. not a dot, but a point.
2nd dimension is a plane that has an area
3rd dimension is anything that has volume, thus the 3d world that we know is named (3d animation, 3d designs, 3d graphics and so on)
4th dimension is time, something abstract that presents in all the above.

there are many speculations about how many dimensions are there in laws of physics theories but no one knows for sure. so it is safe that we live in a world of many dimensions yet known to us.

We are living in all of the dimensions at once, but we are only aware of some of them.
