Hi. I am looking for the names of movies about two unfortunate little boys. One was about a boy who was vacationing in Italy with his family when he got shot in the head during a drive-by shooting and becomes Italy's first organ donor. I remember his dad shouting "Viva Nicholas!" (the boy's name) in this movie. The other movie is about a boy at the center of a custody battle between his parents. During an unsupervised visit, the dad dowses the son with gasoline and sets him on fire, but miraculously the boy lives. Both movies are based on true stories. Anyone know the names of the two movies?

I loved both of these movies. They are "Nicholas' gift" and "David". Look on amazon and you can probably find both of them.

Well the 2nd movie is called David. I don't think I've seen it, but I've read the true story. www.imdb. is a great web site for these things. Here's a copy and paste of the plot from that web site:
David is a six-year-old boy who is caught in the middle of his two feuding (& divorced) parents. His father, Charles, kidnaps him to California, where he eventually sets him on fire as a means of revenge against Marie, David's mother (Young David receives third-degree burns over 90% of his body). This movie chronicles David's struggle to recover and the obstacles he faces along the way.

The second on was "David" - a t.v. movie with Bernadette Peters, but the boy's story was all over the Oprah/Donahue shows in the 80's & 90's

i think the one about the burned kid could be Pay it Forward. i dont know. but check out The Good Son. and House Guest
