A couple of weeks ago I started the computer and it went inte chkdsc by itself, changed all my settings on my hard drive., wiped out all my restore points. I called the virus co and others, I ran scans in normal mode, in safe mos de using the internet and I can't find a bug. It wiped out my hard drive afain and I reformatted it. It also reads my hard drive as offline and not on System restore. I can't even get the add/remove programs to populate! This has to ba a virus that has damaged my reg. Any suggestions. I do not have a Windows disc, I have a manufacturers disc which means I would have to completely redo my machine. I don't want to do that! I also have to double and triple click buttons!

You may have to reformat. Put your files on memory stick or disk and just do it. It's probably the only thing you can do @ this point! Did you open something regarding the wtc recently? Good Luck!

Down load it to a disc or memory stick and follow the instructions on mcafee's site. its only 1.2MB. It cured my friends computer when he had a worm that kept shutting his laptop down.

if all else fails, then i think its time to say goodbye to your pc and probably get a new one..how old is that pc? my hp is giving me countless problems too..
