I know this sounds really gross... but use some unsalted soft butter (until you can go to a store to buy some lotion). It softens your hands and stops the cracking. When you buy a lotion make sure it has no alcohol or petrolium in the ingredients as these dry your skin even more.
The best ones to buy are almond and grapeseed oil. They are the quickest fixes for dry skin. They soak into your skin faster than creamy moisturizers. If your skin is extra dry and rough, try thicker oils like castor and avocado. If you're prone to breakouts, try filtered jojoba oil. Spread a thin coat of whichever oil you choose to the dry areas twice a day.
Plus they are not too expensive.

first of all, start wearing plastic gloves while washing dishes. the combination of soap and hot water is what is drying your hands out. as for relief .... apply a very good moisturizer for hands, like neutrogena (hand cream). apply throughout the day and at bedtime, apply a thin layer and put on 'gloves' ... you can find them just about anywhere ... those made for overnight treatment. same goes for your feet! apply a good foot lotion, put on socks and in the am your feet will be smooth!

in case you utilize a lotion made to your face, it won't reason pimples. besides, pimples type interior the decrease layers of the floor and artwork their way up. try Aquafor or Eucerin at nighttime, and a lighter moisturizer interior the day, like Neutrogena. you will locate any style of facial cremes at a drug save, or stumble on a Mary Kay or Beauticontrol representative to set you up with a customized skincare gadget. Use cooler water once you wash your face, because of the fact warm water will strip away the oils your physique makes to act as a moisturizer. For chapped lips, i might sleep with Vaseline petroleum jelly on them, then throughout the time of the day, i might use Chapstick or Blistex. shop utilising those products by using the day. And ward off licking your lips, which will dry them out much extra. Any merchandise with further fragrances would be extra drying because of the chemical compounds needed to make that heady scent. carry on with unscented varieties. And as with something, ingesting extra water will help to maintain your skin cells hydrated and decrease the subject.

The mary kay kit is called satin hands and works very well if you can get a hold of it but it is on the pricey side. I would try a product i listed below from bath and body works. you can sleep with these gloves on and they will make your hands feel silky smooth by the time you wake up the next day.

Take this to heart: my mother's hands as she aged were all dry, cracked and visibly ugly from hands always in hot water. I recommend you always use rubber gloves when washing dishes.

kinda of expensive but buy the hand kit from mary kay, or to be cheap go to a mary kay party. they have this exfolient then 2 different kinds of lotion. not only does it get rid of the dry skin but its like a hand exfolient and massage all in one. I use it all the time. One more nice thing. it combats wrinkles on your hands.
