Tomorrow is the baby shower, and we will be playing the balloon burst game. Each guest gets a balloon to pop and only one has "winner" on a ticket inside. The others have things the guests have to do like taste baby food, etc. We are having trouble coming up with ideas for the non-winner balloons. Any suggestions?

-you could have timed eating (like eat this jar in 10 seconds or less)
-drink from a bottle
-put three of the same activities in different ballons and have the three people compete to see who's the fastest
-squeeze out some popular creams and play "What's that used for?"
-show some baby items in a basket to het nominates contestants for 10 seconds, and then see who can recall the most. (then giv ehte items to the mom-to-be)
-write a small note card to be mailed to the mommy after she has the baby to give her encouragment/support. It's nice to have a few of these to last a few days.
-Have one person sponn feed another (with the little baby spoon) have the "baby" wear a bib. It's really hysterical and you can also time it against another team if you want.

A fun game is to freeze 3 oranges prior to the shower. Set a small basket about 25 feet from the start line. Each guest has to put the 3 frozen oranges from her thighs to her knees in a straight row and walk over to the basket without dropping them. Once they are at the basket, they drop them one at a time in the basket. Who ever does it the fastest gets a prize. When the women walk, the actually simulate how a huge pregnant woman walks. The oranges are so cold it is hard to hang on to them. It is fun for old and young guests.
Another game is to give every guest a diaper pin when they come in. If they cross their legs the entire time they are there and someone sees them they loose their pin to the person who sees them. You can play legs and arms. Who ever ends up with the most pins wins!

make or buy gourmet cookies and wrap them in pink and/or blue tissue or white w/pink and blue curling ribbons; make enough of these little bundles for all the guests and no one goes home empty handed; doesn't have to be cookies, maybe hershey's kisses or a scented candle, whatever ... you gift the picture; it doesn't have to be expensive; having fun and being a good hostess is the whole objective, right? you could also use the clear goody bags bought in the birthday party section of your grocery/dept store; think target or wal-mart; they're easier to deal with than tissue paper!
this inexpensive little game; buy white facial tissues and small (tiny) safety pins; fold to look like old fashion cloth diapers; make enough for all guests; dab a dot of mustard inside one before folding and pinning; pass out as guests arrive; at end of shower everyone opens diaper; whoever gets the poopy diaper gets prize; prizes can be scented candles, soaps, cute kitchen accessaries all from your fav store or the dollar store if you don't want to break the bank; it's all in good fun and this type of game makes it fun for everyone and not just the expectant mother!
another one; buy a bag of clothes pins (my $1 store actually had pink and blue plastic pins!) and everyone starts out with one clothes pin; rules are you cannot cross your legs, arms or fingers; if you catch someone crossing during the shower, you snatch their pin; whoever has the most pins wins a prize
