*Matilda scowling in thought at the question*....Depends on what you mean by the world's oldest profession.
Being a lady who allows men liberties with her body for pay is what most people think of when they hear this job title....but I have other ideas...
I think the world's oldest profession has got to be "Preparer Of Food!"
From what have read, men did the hunting, and the women prepared it. When man's belly was full and happy, man then wanted to do some hoochy koochy stuff. The hoochy koochy women who probably also prepared the food, were tired, and demanded payment for this latest bit of energy output.
So food "Preparer Of Food" is the oldest profession, and "Doer Of Hoochy Koochy Acts For Payment" is the second.
*Matilda sticks out her chin*....this is my theory and I am sticking with it....
Now, to answer your question.....no I have never been employed as a chef, but if I were, I would probably get a raise, as my sweetie sometimes goes back for third helpings at the dinner table :)

No, but my friends and I always say that we should.
We figure the pay would be better, the work would be less demeaning and you'd get more respect from your clients.
