first of all as long as the only place that he is hitting you is on your butt or legs then he is allowed to do that and that comes from cps and judging by the way that you asked that question i am assuming that you are a minor and living at home now a whipping is no fun that is for sure but there isnt any thing that you can do about it unless it is abuse which means that he left a mark and i dont mean a red mark that went away ten mins later i mean bruises cuts scrapes that kind of thing other than that it is legal and why would you even think that it is ok to fight back with your dad that shows you how you kids think today that is not even right you should respect him and know that he is doing what he is doing out of love unless he is just absolutely beating the f*ck out of you

As a law student, I am aware that it is dependant on your age and the extent to which he disciplines you. If you feel as though the beating is going beyond what a reasonable person would consider as discipline, I would suggest getting some help from authorities. I cannot give you legal advice and neither can anyone here on the internet, because it is against the law. My best advice, use your discretion. If you are under 18, talk to someone like a police man. If you are over 18, get a lawyer and take photos of any visiable injuries. Also notify police.

First of all, if you're old enough to be on this website, he shouldn't be whipping you at all. I would report him to child protective services or call the police. But they may remove you from the home and put you with relatives or in foster care. If you don't report him, I would fight back. What a jerk!!...)(

It is wrong to whip you. Another type of punishment is needed. When a person gets physical they are out of control. Something is very wrong, a change is needed, start by telling a school councilor or a trusted teacher, by law they will have to report it to the correct authorities.

It depends on what you did for him to be whipping you and what your definition of whipping is: Do you mean slapping you or punching your, or hitting you with a belt or paddle? I would fight back. He shouldn't be whipping you in the first place.

Yes. You can do whatever it takes to get away. Then go straight to the police and report it (provided of course that you are a minor). If you are an adult, then just pack up and leave home. Don't plan on going back. Of course, this may be just what your dad wants.

You have to take it!!! What do you mean fight you dad or your close relatives at all? Unless he is doing it beacause he's an abusive parent you can't fight back because he loves you and there is obviously a reason why he's doing it. Trust me I know

If he HURTS you or is drunk or mean for no reason call 911, and don't back down!! Get away from him. Is he hurting other people in your family?
OR does he just blister your butt if you are a little brat? A spanking in one thing, but a beating is child abuse.

Depends, if you deserve a sound spanking, live up to your mistakes, and take it like a man/woman. If it's completely abuse, like in some drunken rage, call the police!!! However, never lay a hand on your parents, you wouldn't be on this planet without them.
HOWEVER, back to abuse, if he is raping you, or utterly abusive, kick his ***!!!
