'Uninvited' by Alanis Morrisette or 'Outside' by Staind. Painful, but cathartic. 'In the Air Tonight' by Phil Collins is good also if you were the breaker, not the breakee.

Listen to your favourite songs. Happy songs, preferably. No matter what songs you choose to listen, you've to go through a period of sadness / feeling down before you can pick yourself up & feel up again. It takes time to get someone out of your mind, no matter what song you listen to. It's good to go through all the painful emotions and let them heal, rather than let them rot, so that you'll feel alive & refreshed to love again.

I try to listen to songs that don't remind me of the person.. but it always ends up backfiring on me.. brutally. I like to listen to Hurricane by Something Corporate, Or Konstantine by Something Corporate and Fall by something Corporate. Or anger songs are good too.. but yeah. those are my favs. Hope I've helped. Good luck.

"I hate everything about you" by Three Days Grace. You also need to be drinking 150 proof Vodka, then in about and hour you'll call and recite the song to them. Might have a hangover tommorrow but that wont spoil the smile on your face!

Depending on your age. If you're an 80's junkie like I am, I think of "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor. It was the theme song in Rocky II or III.

Keilie Manougue.. "Cant get you out of my Head"... actually what does it for me is.. "Looser" by Beck... especially the part where he says "Things are gonna change, I can feel it" sounds weird but it worked for me when I had a dead end job and a dead end boyfriend... how about "Hate Me" by blue October... depends on your situation...who was wrong....? Of coarse Jewel made a career off of this question

Love Alanis Morrisette's You Outta Know. Without knowing your situation though, it's hard to recommend. Good luck!!

Something joyful and happy, innocent music. Devendra Banhart's more dance-y stuff. Ella Jenkins. Elvis.
