We've been over there for over 3 years now. We have succeeded in getting Saddam out of power, and killing his twisted sons and toppling the Baath party. Bush says we went in for that reason, and also to find and destroy the weapons of mass destruction, and says Saddam had links to Al Qaida. There have been no major find of WMD, and no proof that Saddam had anything to do with Al Qaida. I agree with having gone into Afghanistan, to destroy the Taliban and to destroy Bin Laden, but we are barely doing anything over there anymore, and the Taliban is back on the rise. Now we have Iran knocking down the door to Iraq, and threatening the U.S and Isreal with building a nuclear reactor! Plus the Shiites are trying to gain control of Iraq, violence there is at an all time high. Iraq is on the verge of an all out civil war and collapse. Should we stay? Leave? Interfere with Iran? Support Isreal? All of this while North Korea is launching warheads into the sea of Japan? Are we screwed?

Should we stay? We really do not have a choice now. If we leave, it truly will become a haven for terrorists.

As for Iran, I think we need to keep the communication lines open with them. We can't attack them because we don't have the resources, due to Iraq. We need to let the UN do their job, unlike what we did with Iraq.

I don't think that we should blindly support Israel. By the Bush administration's own definition of a terrorist state, Israel is one.

N. Korea is a ticking timebomb, but no one wants to do anything about them. In the mean time, they are the ones that could potentially do the most harm to us. But, again, we can't do much even if we wanted to, because of Iraq.

Are we screwed? Very possibly. We have opened up doors in the Middle East that we should have never opened. We should have had attention on the N. Koreans instead of liberating the Iraqi oil.......err, I mean people.

We aren't screwed, but we certainly have problems. Most of Iraq's WMDs got moved to Syria starting in June 2002, where presumably they still are, but the Syrians have no expertise in them so at the moment they are no threat. In Iraq, now, we have two choices: stay the course, or bug out. The only possible upside of bugging out is to get US troops out of harm's way, but the downside is considerable: continued warfare between the factions, free rein to al-Qaeda and other bad guys, and to show once again that when the s--t hits the fan the US cannot be relied upon to keep its commitments. As for Iran, that's a really ugly problem: there are some really nasty people in charge, and it is difficult to see how that mess can be cleaned up short of military intervention, and that the moment we don't have the resources to do it, and the rest of the world won't help.

This country is helping a country that has never been able to think for itself to become independent. The war in Iraq is a casuality of September 11, after that attack it only made sense to illimate any dictator who might attempt to copy that act of hate. We will never know if there were any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq because of the vastness of the country and the amount of deserts and mountains that they could have been moved to or maybe there weren't any we will never be certain unless Saddam tells us where they were, are or convinces us that they never existed. Americans are in Afghanistan, but giving our locations also gives BinLaden a way to avoid capture so it is about time for some descreetness so that in time BinLaden can be found and hopefully pay painfully for what he did to innocent people. I feel that we will have to stay in Iraq for a while until the police force and clerics have a chance to get a foothold on the problems that the people of Iraq are still facing ( car bombings, mass slaying of ethnic parties). As far as Iran and North Korea we just need to leave them alone for now, and keep on eye on what is happening in these countries, all while keeping that one finger just above the nuclear bomb button should that have to happen. But they are starving their people for the sakes of military strenght so I feel that their people will attack their governments before they attack us. Isreal and Palestine deserve each other, that is a he said, she said situation and neither side is completely innocent. No were no screwed but I feel that we should definitely brace for a bumpy ride.

Set them up for civil war and pull out quickly.
Convince Israel to reach an agreement with Syria that isolates Hezbollox and returns the Golan Heights.
Support the Iranian population in any way we can to eject the Islamofascists. Failing that, support the Israeli's in removing any technology used to create WMD's.
Take some of the troops leaving Iraq to finish the job in Afganistan and Pakistan.
Offer asylum to any North Koreans who can make it out.
Take some of the money saved pulling out if Iraq and use it to give food (and consumer electronics) DIRECTLY to the people of North Korea. (Yes, I mean air drops so that the people know where it is coming from and why.)

Get out! If we are not there then we are not their easy target. Get leaders in this country that have nothing to do with oil and then we can develop a real energy policy. If the Iraqis want a civil war we can not stop them. And if all of these so called religious people kill each other then that will show the world how evil works.

The best thing the U.S can do is change its image by helping Arab nations through means of charity and support. Thus stemming terrorism, most terrorist are terrorist out of desperate situations. We also have to limit Iran's power and money, which we are doing the opposite. By rising gas prices countries like Iran profit the most. The U.S needs to get out of Iraq and allow them to sadly fight it out and to reallocate soldiers to Afghanistan. We need to have a humanitarian role instead of the oppresive imperalistic role.

i am really sad and sick of ignorant people who still think US is doing the right thing. the catrina hurricane and 9/11 shook the whole world and as a muslim, i too feel sad for them.but we must also bear in mind that is just a portion of what's happening to the middle east. if your family is brutally killed for money, if you could se blood splashed and body parts scattered everywhere go,and if you want to survive but you do not know how as food and medicines are hard to obtain, then email me if you still think US is doing the right thing.

Best thing is to stay put in iraq, Because we are doing more good there than if we weren't.
