Ruthie, look at the terminology. The d.p.c. MAY not be fully effective. It would seem as though the d.p.c. has been bridged because something (soil perhaps) has been piled up against the house. Remove all the debris and lower some of the ground so that the d.p.c. isn't bridged and everything should be OK. Penetrating dampness is neither here nor there. You can buy solvent based d.p.c. injection liquid and paint it over the exterior of the wall affected. Give it two or three coats and nothing will get through. You can also get it in a water based solution but this is not as good. If you go for this idea make sure you wear old clothes, goggles and a mask because solvents are a bit naughty. Hope this has helped and good luck with your venture.

Probably on eBay. They have everything. Also, you can get glasses in a drug store or discount store, like Wal-Mart. They are reading glasses, but if you get the very weak ones, you won't know the difference. They are usually very inexpensive. Sometimes even the "dollar stores" have them.

You can buy non-magnifying "reader" glasses at any "Dollar Store" for about $5, in various styles, etc.
