Stopped and given road test and refused btlzer. THis has been 10.5 years ago (1996). No other violations since 1970 (when I started driving) 0r after this event. Is there a provisional clause to regain your dl after "good behavior"? Can anyone tell me if there is a statute of limitations on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. TX::)

Every state varies, but I would be surprised if there is any sort of censure still active against you.
I would think that if you go to the DMV, pay your fees, take the test, take the driving exam and pass, I think you would probably get it.
After ten years, I can't imagine there would be anything other than a shorter renewal time for the next one.
After all even for those convicted of DUI for the second and third times, in many states they still manage to get a license. (I don't know how, but they do, damn it).
If you are not sure, or don't want to risk the non-refundable fees, just call the DMV and ask them. It shouldn't cost anything to ask.
Good Luck, and PLEASE don't drink and drive. I'm losing too many friends.
