Try using a cream liner. It comes in a pot like eyeshadow does, and goes on to create a very natural look (less like a thick line circling your eye, more smoky). Use a small angle brush to apply and smudge it around your eye. If your eyes are close-set, don't go all the way around your eye. Go from about a quarter of the way out (away from the tear duct) to the corner of your eye, then angle it up a bit. Same for below, if you want to do the underneath.

VERY carefully. It takes practice. Take the hand that isn't putting on the eyeliner and at the outer edge, gently pull your eye a little taut so that you have a firm, straight ridge to work on.

1. pull eyelid taut until flat
2. draw a thin line right above your lashes
3. open eyes and check for the "white line" (happens when you dont draw your line close enough)
3. fill in "white line"
4. add thickness as needed
5. smudge for naturaller look
