What are some of the pros and cons of getting one? Are they worth it? I can get one for pretty cheap through my employer, but don't know if I would use it.

I have one of the newer models with a QWERTY keyboard that I use to sync with my e-mail as well as using the phone.

If you can get it cheap, I'd highly recommend it. Like I said, I have it synced with my Outlook, so I can check mail and my calendar without having to carry around paper or having access to a computer. The keyboard is very use to use, and you work on e-mails while on a flight, just turning wireless off and then back on to send them once you're allowed.

As for cons, I'm not really sure. I guess price could be, but my employer pays for the device and my monthly fee. Other than price, nothing I can think of. The battery lasts several days, and doesn't take long to recharge, and the backlights are good.

Pros:
Access to your e-mail anywhere
Push e-mail technology: it gets to your blackberry when it goes to your inbox
Centralize all of your contact information and be able to use it
Some blackberries offer access to ICQ, AIM, and other instant messaging services

Cons:
They aren't nicknamed "Crackberry" for nothing. You might find it becomes addicting and you are constantly checking for new mail.
