For the most part, no. Names like Sony, Disney, or Magnavox aren't acceptable. And as for "Kleenex" and "QTip" they are not acceptable in tournametn play - they are trademarked names, and therefore not allowed in play.

But, products that have been accepted as generic may be. Aspirin, for example, is considered an acceptable word, because it's a generic term for a pain reliever. Zenith, a TV brand, is acceptable, because zenith means "The Highest Point".

As for regular names, for the most part, no. Although names like Bob, Mike, Matt, and May are all regular words that happen to be Proper Names, so they are acceptable in Tournament Scrabble Play

Nope, you cannot use proper names or product names in a game of Scrabble. For example you can't play the word Pepsi even though almost everyone knows what it means. However, the following are allowed : BILL, ROSE, MIKE, TOM and a few other proper human names.

Many more are gradually being included in the latest Scrabble dictionaries, SOWPODS and TWL. You can check out more info on these dictionaries and look up words at http://www.scrabulous.com/scrabble_dictionary.php

Some can be used.
For example in the UK, a well known brand of vacuum cleaner is the Hoover. It has become acceptable as a verb without requiring a capital letter.
Official Scrabble word lists will only include product names that have gone through a similar process as "hoover".

yes and no. You can't use proper names...names of cities, countries, people, but you can use product names like Kleenex or QTip. Because these were first the name of the brand not the actual product itself, but now have become the name of a certain product i.e. all tissue is now known as Kleenex even though it started out as a Company name. Same with QTip.

Hope that helps
