Actually, bravo to you! But, you may want to check at your local Adult Education Center, they sometimes have volunteers that teach Adults to read and give classes in how to do it. So, if they do that, they may also recommend some books on it! Congratulations again on your good work!

You can order a book that will help you learn how to tutor--see source item 1 or you could begin with the information provided in source item 2 and do a search on "reading tutors" for additional information.

Look in the phone book & call your local literacy councel. They will help you with the info your looking for or point you in the right direction.
I think that is a wonderful thing you are trying to do, what a great gift you are offering them teaching them to read.
