The only thing I can think of is maybe it was caused by me changing the gas cap/lid to the lockable cap/lid. The original gas cap which came with my Titan did not have the lock on the gas cap. I tightened the cap/lid really good but after driving 60 miles today, the engine light came on.

I am not sure if the light was turned on because of the gas cap or if it's more serious issue in engine???

Does anyone have similar problem?

I agree with Cttoughguy. There's a good chance the gas cap is causing it. If the dealer is too far from you to get to easily, a local AutoZone or auto parts store should be able to scan it for free and give you the code. If it's an evap code, it's the gas cap. Put your old gas cap on, then disconnect the battery and turn on your lights (drains any power out of the electrical system). This resets the code and you should be good to go. If it's a different code, then take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. Congrats on the new truck - the Titans are nice!

I put my money on the gas cap being bad. If thats the case your truck will far out last a dodge. He'll be changing his tranny at about 60,000 miles.

Is it used? A brand new one shouldn't do that for about 10,000 miles. If it has a few miles on it, it may need to check your fluid levels yourself and top them all off. Radiator, oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, etc. If you bought it private party, that's your only alternative besides taking it to a shop/dealership. If you bought it at a dealership, take it right back and make them fix it.

your new gas cap dose not seat the same way as the orginal one . put the orginal one back on . ten to one you may have an engine code called evap leak.

I think your ignition is worn out. Its what turns your entire electrical system on. Other auto parts stores will check your code for free to get a second opinion.
