you are imagining things. I grab my purse and kids even if I see a white guy in camo or any guy that looks creepy. Some black guys look creepy. Stay clean, well groomed and give a friendly, not sleezy smile, and say Hello. Don't dress wierd or trendy or ghetto and people won't be afraid of you so often.

Hey, that's a good thing that some of the women out there are aware of what could happen. If it were your wife, mother or daughter you would want them to be careful and aware. Many years ago, I dated a guy and later found out that he was a thief. Used to run past women in the parking lot and grab their purse. He's still in prison for his crimes. I was amazed that I could know someone like that. Since then, I am much more aware now and do the exact same thing that you say you saw this lady do. I don't think it's only while women that do this.

Most white women are afriad of men who are not white because of what they been thought and mostly what they see on television.
I personally do not trust anyone that looks like they are up too something, too many child molesters, kidnappers, killings etc... those people come in all races... white, black, hispanic etc... You even have your own family members that you can't trust with your children.. These days it is better to assume then to take a chance and not grab your child, because you never know....

I'm white and I grab my kids and purse whenever ANYONE gets to close to me. Doesn't matter what race they are, or if they are male or female. Just for the record, my oldest daughter is white black and Puerto Rican, and my younger (adopted) daughter is Laotian.
My theory is better safe than sorry.

that is a mean thing for any woman to do. for me its not their color that matters, but how they look at me. sometime the expression on a man, any man for that matter should be more important than the color of their skin. that's like saying if a person(male or female) dresses a certain way that you should do that same reaction. i understand your words and i see your point. i hope others see it and not get angry at you.
FTI= I look white, but i am a Heinz 57, which is a woman of many nationalities. so the color shouldn't matter its the persons actions and what they feel inside and show on the outside that counts.

I grab my purse when ANYONE walks by. Don't take it personal man. It's a dangerous day and age, especially for women and children. You may not want my kids, but there are PLENTY of sicko's who do. Seriously, relax on this thing. Truth is, no one trusts anyone anymore!!

I don't trust any man white or any other color or any person for that matter in this day in time everyone is crazy. But if your a nice person and show it. I'm nice back no matter what color you are and in my book there should not be a color issue. I don't like to compare color. And I always grab my kid because I am a very protective mother

lol, I don't and I'm white, but I worked in a school with kids and staff of a different colour then me. And I do know what you are saying... Alot of caucasions will deny it, but I find that to be true. Even for me... I get treated all sweet, but when I am on my motor bike and all dressed in leather and black, I get treated way different too and once had someone in Walmart grab their kid and put herself between us... Yet in anyother clothes, I guess I seem non-threatening. It is just a lack of understanding and knowlege. Some call it ignorance which in this case is not bliss, it is fear....

I hold on to my purse anytime I see someone suspicious. If I see someone dressed like a thug (falling pants, big sports shirts, backwards hat , etc) I am cautious because whenever they show a picture of a robbery or murder suspect on tv, they are dressed like that.
