i'm serious, how do we explain the role of the sun and the moon in sustaining life on our planet, the clockwork precision of orbits, axis rotations, seasons, the very fact that our earth is a completely self sustained biosphere containing all of the elements of life, how do we explain life itself? our intellect, and reasoning? the amazing features of living organisms including ourselves that function with such precision, examples being brain function, vital organ function, the miracle of birth.the finality of death. i know this question cannot be answered but i would like to hear from others who think the whole thing is absolutely fascinating, Please don't quote scripture to me..thank you in advance..

The problem is that the question of God and the question of science don't belong in the same sentence. God is God and there is no amount of science, observation, theory or experimentation that can confirm or deny God's existence.

Some people try to make this argument, but it will fall flat on its face. True, it is somewhat improbrobable that the universe could have just come about in its perfect balance of order and chaos without some help, but on the other hand, there is nothing that says it absolutely needed help.

Science informs our minds, but the human condition seems to require something that informs our hearts too and that is what science is unable to do.

First, you must outgrow the peculiar illusion that there is a perfect order to the universe. The universe is a scum pile that exhibits very little that is "orderly."

Next, outgrow the juvenile illusion that there is a supernatural higher power that cares about the universe and directs--or directed--its formation in some mystical way.

We are taught as children to intuit the existence of "god" on the basis of our experience of our parents. There is no evidence in the physical cosmos to suggest that such a thing exists. If there is a "god" it is so remote and strange compared to us that we cannot begin to imagine what it is like.

We intuit the creator because we watch people make things. From this we take the conceit that we must have been made in a similar way by some great being. Get over it. The truth is not so comforting, but it has the supreme advantage of being true.

You've got it all backwards, for one thing. Life adapts. That means that the reason everything is perfect for life is because DNA has adapted to the changes that came along. The only questionable part is the origin itself, and that has pretty much been nailed down to meteor bombardment causing amino acids to become bonded in bunches that could influence new bonding in the same pattern.
When you see the evolutionary tree, it only includes the bones and fossils that we FIND. We don't find the ones that tried and failed, because there is usually only one. We find the ones that succeeded, so when we look back at the timeline, we see a continuous path of successes. IF you could go backward in time and look forward at ALL the mutations, you would see a lot more dead ends than successes, and we wouldn't look like such a perfect fit, just the lucky ones that survived. In fact, we can't survive on most of the planet without modifying our environment in some way to fit us, either through clothing, housing, storing foods, using tools, etc. IF we were to survive as just our naked selves, we wouldn't have such dominance over the planet.

A lot of people will say either it is not perfect (which it isn't, and hasn't been since sin entered the universe) or that this is the only way it could be since the contents settled after the box was shaken up.

To me, it seems more reasonable to believe that the universe was created as opposed to believing that we have learned enough to be able to say with any degree of certainty that it was not.

To say, "Look around! It's so obvious that it just happened!" is neither particularly obvious nor any more intellectually satisfying than to say "Just believe."

What makes the difference, for me, is the very thing you asked people to ignore: propositional revelation giving true and accurate explanations about the nature of man (both our psychological and moral natures) and about future events (prophecy.) These things cannot be explained by shrewd trickery or deceit. In the face of such revelation, there is only denial.

One he unovers is far from perfect it is a complex object . that is expanding and moving . there is noit clock owrk like presionm of plantw orbits they do wobble and chang corese ever so slighltly . Earth is a random ocurance thre area number of theoires all of them purely accidental .
Our brains hardly function with precison they vary widly from comletly brain dead to extramly intllgent Iq above 160 . about1 % of te enmtier popuiation has that or highr IQ .
But their brains ar not prsise one for example may be gifted sociology another phyisics , ect .
iti s very random . .In fact if we were to take the god as creator idea we would not be where we are acedemically with technology , and much more the univervrse is extrodinarily complex .
as for perfect brains please explain Schizophrenia or mental retardation Bi polar disorder . Even a sick perversion such as pedophilia Whatkind of god would inflict that on its' subjects , do not even try free will the victim certainly did nothave free will or the Holocaust ? Yeah 10 million thats right 10 million f dioed atvhe hamnds of te naziz of them 6 ,million were jews . regardless that is a incredible horror and do not say satan did it . that is lame humans did that to other humans . God is just way of explaining things that most cannot fully understand untill it is a well established fact and taught in out grade schools .

religion is for those who lack the intelligence and desire for leringing and being well read eduicated and able ot think and talk about things that are often hard to comprehend
and often unpleastant .
A vast number of sudies done in various fields have come ot the same coprealtion that the higer the IQ the belief in a god dereases it has a slight up tick towards agnostic at the hier end . which is logical as it is a possiblitie there is a god.

Give me a break?! You're not serious are you? The world is explained through science: Physics explains the laws of the natural world; Biology explains life; Psychology explains the mind and life, as well as death.
The real question should be: do Gods exist without humans? I don't think so, we've created Gods in order to give ourselves in easy answer to everything. Imagine no humans, they're would be no Gods.
Educate yourself and you'll open your eyes forever. The truth is scary, its not all happiness and heaven or hell. I wish it were; but the truth hurts and is hard to discover. Religion is for lazy ignorants.

Life as we know it and pro-create it is usually (not always) the result of a Big Bang - true perfection (for me anyways).

For the (so called) perfect order of the universe I do not see how it could be much different. Approximately 13.7 billion years ago, in about 10 to -43 power of a second (Planck time) a singularity of infinite orgasmic proportion was unleashed - it must have been perfect - and I'm absolutely positive God did it with his own hand.

I am the Fringe and my fingers are not sticky!

What if there is more to God and more to science than the human mind can conceive? I think it's very probable. In fact I read these guys above me given scientific explanations for everything, but I think it is much more likely that we don't even have the smallest fraction of an understanding of the universe and may never. It could be quite possible that the human brain is not fully capable of understanding the Universe.

Universe and we are comparable. there is not any question approximately appropriate or imperfect. that's what that's - organic state of existence. that's the human ideas which has progressed the assumption of perfection for its survival and id. This has little importance for the character.

It does seem that perhaps there is more to the origin of life than just a bing bang without any plan or order to it. It would be an incredble coincidence or a freak of nature that things are so intertwined in our world.
