Right over here! I relly think it is dumb that monique colmen (26 years old) plays a high schooler! and ashley tisdale(22) plays a 15 year OLD! i totaly agree with you! they should get rid of everyone who doesnt play someone their OWN AGE!
miley cyrus (14) plays her age and so does Emily Osment but like NO ONE else does!

So, are you saying you don't like the shows? I don't hear that. All I hear is that you know that there is a shortage of talented young people. Think about it Lindsey Lohan and Hillary Duff and Christie Carlson Romano grew up on disney. Lishay Bieuf same deal. Right now they have all moved on like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilerra, and the Girl who played Felicity. Hanna Montana and the Suite life have introduced new talent. Sally just needs a show of her own. Be patient and more kids will come.

generally if disney employed actors who were 14/15/16/17/18, most of them would either get bigger boobs or get deeper voices and its hard to work with them.
Alan Ruck from Ferris Bueller fame was like 29 when he played a senior in High School. Judd Nelson of Breakfast Club fame was 24 or 25.

Thats what they are hired to play....Most of the actors and actresses started out at a younger age but now are older and popular so disney still wants to use them. Shooting episodes and stuff takes a long time remember, so they were probably that age when it started out, like the show or whatever.

All of the actors are older, it's easier to do that with the way the union rules are written. There are strict hours for certain age groups, and they have to be mature enough to work on the shows.

They just get people that fit the part. Sometimes it's easier to hire actors that aren't in school at the time. Or sometimes they did hire people at the right age, but it was a while ago and their characters never age.

it all has to do w/ child labor....the younger they are the harder it is to work with so they hire older actors that look younger than they really are
