Cocoa butter is an aid to maintain the flexibility of skin after surgery and is especially good during pregnancy. The question is not how dose it take----rather, begin applying it to the skin for the above mentioned needs, also sun burn and to clean the skin's pores. I had major surgery in 2002 on upper chest and lower stomach. Used the Cocoa Butter every day--morning and night.
Yes, very slight scars are noticeable by myself, perhaps others. Yet, without its initial usage and regular as in daily usage-the multiple scares would be unpleasant to even look at.

Friend it dose not get rid of scars- it keeps the skin flexible and will rid the body of any surgerical stitching marks. Scars will never be completely removed-- without Cocoa Butter your skin would look rough and feel terrible.
However, use Cocoa Butter on a daily basis and their presence will be acceptable as mine are after 5 years----yes daily usage of Cocoa Butter dose continues.

I've never heard of cocoa butter for scars, but I have heard of it used for stretch marks. The best thing for scars I know of is Vitamin K cream that you can get at most drugstores or online. Also, Mederma is a topical medicine that can accelerate the fading of scars.

No it does not, I use it as moisturizer daily and have been for about 5 years...my scars are still just as bad and no better. It does wonders for skin though, really soft and silky.
