Earth bound spirits will not contact just anyone. They seek those that can help them find their way. If you don't believe, you won't feel their presence. Those who have the gift will see very ancient and spirits from the present.

I don't believe in Ghosts however I could imagine if the quantum mechanics people are right thin parts in time and space if time were folded and you had a building with a floor where people have walked for along time this provides a stage we may be able to see into the past or a time loop like a double exposure there is no ghost your just glimpsing the past
Possibly the better conclusion is it either helps tourism or ergot poisoning..
If there were ghosts your right the world would be pretty crowded

Yes. But ghosts are not ghosts, I believe. I believe they are demons. Two cases of the dead speaking in the Bible.
First, was when Saul went to the witch of Endor (which was against God's law). When the witch consulted her familiar spirit, Samuel, the prophet, actually appeared. The witch knew this was not her "spirit".
The second case was the rich man asked that the rich man be sent back to speak to his brothers and tell them the truth concerning how bad Hell was and he was told that their was a great gulf between them and he couldn't go and it would do no good because they didn't believe Moses or the prophets.
My point is this: in the first case a man of God was allowed to come back and he told the king exactly what the truth was about God. In the second, a man who did not believe in God while alive asked that his brothers be told the truth about God and hell. Given this, if ghosts WERE real, they wouldn't waste time scaring us or telling family members how great it was on the other side. Whether they followed Christ or not while alive, after death their spirits know the truth. ALL ghosts would be telling everyone they could communicate with how we ought to get it right and follow Jesus Christ - before it's too late.

Nobody said that all people who die become ghosts- just a few lost or confused spirits who will eventually move on.
