well we are a hated nation because we are in fact mean to other nations. our government is only looking for what would benefit the United states, which is nice, however the way they go about it is very cold hearted. and you are very much mistaken if you believe that bush is a good president. first of all, he is a cheat who cannot even speak well and he pisses off government officials from even his own country, let alone other countries. secondly, the USA needs to have an excellent president, especially now, not a "good" president (of which i have allready established that bush is not).
another, possibly huger reason than an idiot president, would be that they are jealous. it sounds rude and maybe is a bit blunt, but the people in many other countries just want to be able to have what we take for granted. we have computers and cars and money and happiness. we complain when there isn't air conditioning or our TV show has been cancelled. the worst thing to happen to us as a nation (besides 9-11) is the devastation seen from Hurrican Karina. how can we expect countries to not be pissed with us when we are so ignorant enough to have forgotten about citizens in our own territory? it makes us look ignorant.
Africa is not a country, but many nations in Africa hates the US because Africa is a poor continent with hunger and AIDS erasing entire populations. what does the US do but set more restrictions? one can say the same thing for some of the Asian countries. many Europeans simply hate our president. that right there should alert you to our lack of good leadership.
i hope i helped somehow.

I dare any conservative to come up with just one example of something good that Bush has done since stealing the presidency...and it must be something true, not made up, and the sources had better be there, and it can't be something that was originally reported, then came out to be a lie.
I DARE YOU!!!
He hasn't even done any of the things that you cons like...like banning abortion and gay marriage...he just talks about them to get you riled up, but when the chips are down (like having absolute power over all three branches of government), nothing gets done.
Don't you realize that you are getting duped...and when it comes out that you've been duped, you speak up for them even louder? This is just crazy!
"the world hates us"...well, you'd hate a country that bombed you without even declaring war on you...you'd hate a country that deposed the President that was overwhelmingly voted in and was doing a whole lot of good for the people! Get a grip already!

The answer is simple, it's greed and arogance. Why do you think that many in America want the USA out of the UN? That answer is also simple, we are not willing to talk with others about world problems, we want to tell others how it should be, that is arogance.
The "good" President lied to the American people. A godly man would not lie as Bush does with every word from his mouth.
Somewhere in Muslim and in Arab 10,000 Bin Ladens were born today. Since desert storm 300,000 civilians have died in Iraq, they are "liberated", no one knows how many were terrorist, no one.
In the end no matter what we do in Iraq the country is in civil war now and that will last ten years, In the end Iran will control Iraq.
The "good" President has over 2650 dead brave Americans and over 20,000 wounded on his Republican hands..

Because we are the good guys. We are the ones who when things go wrong they call on and depend on us to go and fix it. Then, when we do we get called the bad guys because well they suddenly decide they are good enough for us to not be there. In the end it comes down to the fact that no decision of consience is easily made and rarely rewarded. I am for enacting a version of policy like Star Trek's Prime Directive which comes down to complete non-interference. Let the world sit on that one and live without our dollars to make them go round and round. Then maybe when they are all underground hiding from the real bad guys they might consider how good they had it when we were out protecting the underdogs in the world.

Bush has been to many, many other countries during his
term in office and I haven't seen any of the head honchos
do anything that says they hate us. Oh, there are marches
in the streets, but that is mostly young college nitwits that
have been brain-washed by their liberal professors. They
have been around for years and years with their "peace
signs". They wouldn't know peace if they saw it. So, we have
a lot of allies who need and want the money we send them.
I don't worry about the dictators who hate America as they
are jealous and wish their country was more like us in every
way. Their way of life is kill, kill, kill. That's all they know, so
we need to win this Iraq war and let the others fight amongst
themselves like they've always done. However, if they attack US,
then it's time for us to take up arms and rally round the flag, not
wave the white flag like Demorats want to do now. You don't
remain the powerhouse of the world by surrendering. Remember
that. Wimps have never won a war, we have.

I was in Scotland one time...I was, once again, hearing my wonderful country being bashed. I asked this one man..."why did that man speak to me that way about my country?" The man, a Scottixh gentleman replied:" you are an American. You have everything. He and all of us are so JEALOUS of you. Look ...you are eating a steak." I said, "yes, I am. It is the last night of my vacation....I've been eating sandwiches the whole time...I have enough money for this so I'm treating myself. I work 5 jobs to pay my bills and still make it over here. I am a preschool teacher, guitar teacher, after school crafts teacher, performer(guitar/singer) and I caddy...I carry 2 bags for 4 hours. Sometimes I do 2 loops in one day. " He was amazed. I think maybe the thing is this....I live in a country where I have so many opportunities...my dreams can come true. Nothing is handed to me on a silver platter...I worked hard for my money.....but my dreams can come true.

actually as sad as it is, we are hated by the other nations for causing pain. although we are a great nation that has the most to offer its citizens, we sometimes when it comes to other countries do go a bit far. example, we put sadam into power when we needed him for our agenda. but the fact that he was a pshyco dictator, well we ignored that. when we did not need him anymore, we took him out. but a little too late.

I think that america is hated because we are so closed minded. Making worldly desicions without having experienced other cultures for an extended amount of time makes us less knowledgable of the way other people think.

Good leaders push the envolope on what is allowed for torture and then torture people of other nations regularly. Good leaders also imprison people from other nations indefinitely and with no recourse. Good leaders also attack people with no valid justification other than, "I happen to not like you and think you do a bad job of leading."
I agree. Nobody has a right not to be tortured, kidnapped, or murdered. Blasted sissies, all of 'em.
