Somewhere warm with a beach. I prefer Mexico, either Baha Peninsula or Cancun and then stay at one of their all inclusive resorts. Cancun has a great one called the El Pueblito. Step foot out of your hotel room and there is a water slide that takes you right down to the bar, which is in one of the pools. It was awesome, relaxing and romantic. That hotel also had the best beach front.

The coastal areas would be a probably bust for a honeymoon, as October is the heart of hurrican season. Have you considered North Carolina? They have beautiful weather that time of year.

Memphis is a great place that time of year as well. The weather is nice and lots to do and see. The Peabody is beautiful, Beale Street, and much more.

Good luck.

Gatlinburg. The mountains are beautiful and the cabins at the preserve resort are fabulous. That is where I went for my honeymoon and we are going back around that time this year. There are lots of things to see, especially if you are outdoorsy. The mountain views are amazing!

It depends on where you are located.
Also what you have to spend and the time you have.
I do not suggest a cruise, husbands tend to turn up missing.
