You know what i find to be sexy on a man?
What drives me crazy? An 18th century suit...
Just think Interview with a vampire-Lois and
Lestat MmMMM! Why dont men dress like this anymore?
I know they would look funn compared to every one else
but the modern 21st century suit cannot even begin
to compare to the suits of days past. The crap they
wear now is ugly, the man looks like he is being strangled
and drowning in his clothing-it just doesnt look good.
That and the Ties they wear now a days are also
hideous and pointless.

Does anyone in the universe agree?

Oh and I myself wouldnt mind dressing the way
women dressed back then either :^_~

As sexy as you find those styles, they are VERY uncomfortable. That's why they went out of style, not because they looked bad.

The old style suits were heavily padded at the chest and shoulders, and the men wore (I swear this is true) corsets to give them that perfect triangle torso. The pants were skin tight, as were the stockings. Imagine wearing pantyhose all day every day. The shoes had a mid to high heel, as a woman you should know what a pain they are to walk in. The shirts had ruffles at the wrists and high collars, and tons of starch was used to give it a good look. The vests (also called waistcoats) were full vests, very hot in warm weather.

Any man that looks bad in a modern suit isn't wearing the right one for him. Like any other article of clothing, a suit comes in different styles, sizes, cuts, colors, and fabrics. If the man was being smart when he shopped, he would find the best one for him before buying. Sadly, most men hate shopping. So they go to one or two stores and buy whatever is on the rack. Imagine trying to find the perfect prom or formal dress by shopping at just one store. You couldn't.

As for the way women dressed, it's about the same situation as the men's clothing. If you want to wear a corset and 20 pounds of clothing, be my guest. Try an 18th century authentic look for Halloween this year. See how long you last when you can't breathe from the corset, your dress drags on the ground getting stepped on every few minutes, and your breasts are squished in your gown. I'll bet you change yuor mind in 10 minutes after putting the outfit on.

I would just like to see men wearing suits again, any suit. The men in my city really dress casual. The business men where khakis and polos and forget about the rest of the men, shorts and t shrts yuck.
