there was a conspiracy that stated that hiei and kurama were lovers. when the creator was asked, he said that wasn't his intent (but he didn't seem to dislike the idea XD)
hiei really cares mostly about his sister, yukina.
however, at the end of the series, he meets the ruler (a woman) of the demon world, muruko, and some think that if the series went on they might have become lovers.

I don't think Hiei nor Kurama likes anyone. As a matter of fact it took me a while to find out that he was a guy.

I'm not sure that either of them fell in love in the series. Their men of honor and duty rather than love and pleasure.However there are a ton of Fan-Fics out there that say otherwise!
I enjoyed the anime immensely. I wish Cartoon Network would put it back on Saturday nights.
