ozone layer was a big deal but that got smaller and it wasn't a big deal at all. Now as I understand it, the hole in the ozone got smaller because people quit making CFCs which were causing the damage, not just by itself.
So wouldn't it make sense that we should do something similar about global warming so it won't have to be a big deal?

It would make perfect sense. We are the first generation of people in the history of the world to be in control of the fate of Earth- destory it or save it. People don't realize the damage we have already done- if we halted all emissions of carbon, the earth would still continue to heat for decades to come. They say the Greenland ice cap will melt by the end of the century- raising oceans 20 ft. This would virtually flood and ruin our any coastal cities (MIami, New York, London, Etc.). We are truely ruining the planet- and no one seems to be doing much about it.

The ozone hole is a naturally occurring cycle, with or without man. The environmentalist lobby took the readings, at the part of the cycle that the hole was largest. It was a hoax. CFC's are not dangerous; the chemicals that are being used to replace them are dangerous and more expensive.

Global warming is also a hoax. The biggest output of carbon dioxide comes from the ocean; the second largest comes from the debris spewed out by volcanoes; and the third is your local cow herd.

The range of temperatures on Earth are determined by very large astronomical cycles, which includes (but not limited to) the precession of the Earth, and the 'wobble' within the orbit itself, as well as the orientation of the entire solar system inside the Milky Way galaxy.

Various core samples and other studies indicate that we are in a phase between Ice Ages, and are headed toward an Ice Age. It's a few 10s of 1000s of years away.

The hole was "discovered" back in the 1950's before we used CFCs It is known to fluctuate from year to year. IF we the USA are the main cause as many would have you believe. Then why is the hole over the South pole, and not over the United States?
And we can produce ozone. Why not make a lot and have a plane start making deliveries? The hole was there before man got on this earth, and it will be there after he is gone from earth.

NO. The size of the hole in the ozone layer fluctuates with the solar winds.

It was theorized that CFC's were making it larger -- not proven. However, by banning CFC's, people switched to much cheaper HFC's which are even bigger sources of greenhouse gases.

The hole in the ozone naturally opens & closes.
It's a vent for gasses to leave our atmosphere.
It's been tracked for decades.
It isn't getting smaller because of CFC reduction...even though that's what the tree-hugger would want you to believe.
And this Gore-bal Warming farce is as fake as Al Gore himself!
(Remember his "I invented the internet" bit?!)

Don't know much about the global worming, but I remember watchin' the history channel one night and they said somethin' about how a metorer might hit the earth sometime around 2010-2015 and everything would mostlikely be whipped out.

you have defined Al Gore. Reject the flexibility guzzling mansion and preaching. The earth has sessions of heat temperature and chilly over 1000's of years, so any organic phenomenon should not be preached against and a modest abode might use much less power.

Did you know that the enviro-wackos were screaming about global cooling back in the 1970's just as loudly as they're screaming about global warming now? Who knows what these Luddites will howl about next to get attention and political traction to try to kill global business development (their real agenda)...

thats weird thats what we talked today in biology. ok my teacher said that the world goes through a cycle every 600,000 years of getting warmer and colder. Right know as you know its getting warmer but never ever will it get too hott to melt all the ice when were alive. The sun is also sopossed to die in 2 billion more years also but no one i think is worrying about that

global warming is compleat bupkis. Don't be fooled. Do the research yourself.
1st of all there is no way for them to know what the weather is going to be like in 100yrs. Hell, they can't even tell what the weather is going to be like tomorrow... How the heck do they think they know what it is going to be 100yrs from now?

Give me a break. UUUUUUUUUUGH!
