First answer you got was close except he forgot to tell you,you cant insert cam with marks alligned.You have to rotate counterclockwise insert cam then rotate back and make sure cam and crank marks line up.

Fix?? How did they break:^).You just line them up(before you took it apart you did punch a mark in the cam gear and crank gear didn't you) Remember the crank turns twice for each cam rotation and fires TDC with all valves closed.

THe engine timing marks?
Align the dot on the crank gear with the dot on the cam gear.
If yours has an internal governor (a white plastic piece with gears),it doesn't matter where it's placed.

Yes, just line up the marks..... both valves must be closed at top dead center on the compression stroke.
