Do you mean the first settlement in the Americas, whether North, South, Central or Caribbean or do you mean in the United States of America (or least what became that country). my family settled Springfield , Mass in 1636. but St Augustine Fla.is the oldest settlement in North America

Roanoke was the first but they disappeared. Then there was Jamestown. But the oldest city is St. Augustine and was founded by the Spaniards in 1513.

Jamestown, and I think it would be in what is now Virginia. When the supply ship came from England a year later to resupply. no trace of the people could or has ever been found.
