Well, a trojan horse might pertain to or start by doing something useful which makes it an attractive choice for downloading or installing, until it lets rip!
However:
"In one celebrated case, a Trojan horse was a program that was supposed to find and destroy computer viruses...."

There have been numerous instances of harmless virii, however they are few and far between. There have been cases put forward for beneficial virii in the past, however they collapse under closer scrutiny.
For example, the notion of infecting a file with a harmless virus in the hope that a malicious virus will ignore an already infected file assumes that such a virus cares whether a file was previously infected. Malicious instances simply don't care, and will infect anything regardless.
Perhaps there is a case for benign virii, but it is difficult to conceive of a scenario where their application will offer definite benefits.

The first viruses where written as lab experiments but the first ones that came out of lab were for advertisement purposes - so we can say that the first few were written for good purpose (research or education). Some others came out as advertisement deliverers. The first PC virus was written by couple of Pakistanis (C Brain or Lahore or Pakistani Brain) and it showed their message when the computer is booted up. A floppy used in a infected PC is put on another computer then virus spread to that machine also. It did nothing but showed a message on the bootup similar to "Welcome to the Dungeon (c) 1986 Brain & Amjads (pvt)"

No such thing...
Remote programmability is a capability that has been used in the space program from the early days. So even Voyager was sent off on it's mission, with that capability. But reprogramming remotely is a deliberate act.
To a certain extent, automatic Windows Updates are a remote reprogrammable feature... but what if Microsoft made a mistake in their effort to correct earlier mistakes? The very fact that they HAD bugs, means that their bug correction could be faulty. So with that... I suggest... TURN OFF AUTOMATIC UPDATES. Instead, use Windows Updates manually. Then look at the dates of NEW fixes.... Let some time pass before you install brand new updates. If they DO screw up, it will probably be in the NEWS. (and has been)
You should be in control of your computer, it's updates and what is installed. Check the anti-virus and anti-spyware status regularly. Use a Firewall. DO your BACKUPS.

hi, that maybe a virus, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:

the recent version of back Orifice, designed in 2006, is designed extra as a RAT, a "distant administration gadget." All this "administration" is bullshit (all seventeen of them), RATs are purely used to screw with human beings. They important characteristic of the recent back Orifice is a keylogger, used to study each little thing you form and thieve all your **** examine out you mutually as you fap to CP. different humorous **** usually latest in RATs is stuff like freezing the mouse and turning off the keyboard.
