I like perfectly pressed clothing and real good quality shirts and pants. I won't even wear pants anymore unless they are without wrinkle.
But it has to be comfortable and it really wouldn't matter what the label said as long as it lasts a few washings and still looks like new. Most of those end up being a expensive brand name though. So I would. But I also still love throwing on an old ball shirt or T shirt from time to time.

No. Expensive clothes, why? It's nice to be dressed to a "T" but give me a pair of Levi's and a t-shirt any day. Popular, why? That's what helps draw the spotlight to when you have what should be considered a normally blah day and it would all be dramatic and you'd be considered a horrible popular person.
Normal is nice, no high maintenance, no drama king or queen. Not having to worry about everyone watching your ever mood.

No, I would not. I do not generally prefer expensive clothes to others at all- I would wear whatever I wanted, which would be the same stuff I wear now. And I have no desire to be popular. I used to try, and it was one of the stupidest things I've ever done. I do not necessarily hate popular people- it depends on the person- but I have no desire to be like them.

the thing about being popular is you're basically choosing quantity over quality. popular people don't often have real friends, just fans. to be popular just to be popular seems quite snobby. to be popular just because you're really nice and friendly, then that's cool. and about the expensive clothes... no one really cares. most people i know shop at secondhand stores. i find that sort of disturbing somehow, but really, no one cares about those things. often times i buy expensive clothes just because they have better quality and they feel comfortable. so to ask "would i," i'd say no because none of those things are really essential to living. do you really need to be surrounded by acquaintances? do you really need expensive clothes to show off so you could have more friends you don't talk to anyway?
my answer would be no.

no, I am who I am. I dress accordingly to what I am doing. Very nice if I need to, I however can work and deal with life way beyond the capabilities of most women and not a worry in my head about how I look or about breaking a nail or ruining my clothes. There is a time and place for everything and I am glad I can pull my weight and not worry about if I am in style for the occasion..........work and life will change anybodies perception.

What bothers me is, everyone thinks popular is the rich snob in designer clothes who gets everything she wants. In some schools that might be the case, but In mine me and my friends are popular because you are friendly, and nice to everyone, not just the people they hang out with. Yes we might have nice clothes but that's not the only definition of popular.

I remember those days when I hated "popular people." But, honestly... No, I wouldn't. I much rather be a social butterfly, like I am, than confined to one group/stereotype (even though, I guess social butterfly is a group/stereotype). Being restricted as one "type" causes too much pressure and makes people think you have to live up to a certain standard. I was "goth" until my sophomore year in highschool. It was a very hard transition because people expected me to be a certain way.
But, my answer is no. :)

hmmm, good question. Yeah, i guess i would. I mean, i would want to be the kind of popular that everyone likes and is friends with everyone. Not like the kind at my school, where everyone hates them behind there back and are judged by how pretty they are and where they shop at.

Of course,,,,,everyone likes nice things,,,,it's just that some people can live without them,,,,,,necessities are just that,,necessary,,,but diamonds,, thousand dollar suits, and things of that nature are basically crutches for something lacking in ones personality,,,,alot of materialistic people have a disgust for fat people,,because they themselves are so concerned about the way they look,,,,but if you think about it,,,being materialistic is the same type of compulsion.,,,,The need for more,,,,for some,,,its food,,,for some,,,drugs or other depenancies,,,,,,for the materialistic,,,,its the need to have more and better things , than the people they assosiate with.

In all honesty, no, i don't like the looks of the expensive clothes. and as for poularity, i'd rather have a few friends i could trust my life to rather than a lot who in the end don't give a damn.
