Keep in mind that not all people on this are American.

This is a place where people can go to speak out and to feel free because there are times that we don't. Sometimes you feel that you just can't say what you want to say so you come to a place like this to vent and get it off your chest.

There are more than just Americans on this site to although I am not saying that it isn't us. I mean I know we do stupid things but keep in mind a person is smart people are dumb. When you get a bunch of people together one person can turn it ugly. So sometimes that could be the case.

A lot of people on here are really young though so they find it as funny to put up "mean" stuff. Not that I am saying that is the case with all young people but kids will be kids. And people will be people. But all in all it is just a place to rant and rave about the troubles of life or ask questions on what to do or just voice your opinion on the world today.

I think our politicians have become so ideologically focused that they make personal attacks on the opposition to score points within their own party. And many of the people on this forum are just following suit to emulate them. Many on this forum are not moderates - they're either extremely liberal or extremely conservative. There's also those - like myself - who love political debate and discourse but who despise political name calling and hatred. Those who follow the latter probably don't think much and just give knee jerk opinions to their respective parties' political stances. It's also very easy to resort to name calling and personal attacks rather than address the issues and have to explain, justify and reason out their positions.

I don't think the majority of Americans are mean, but some of the people on this forum are. Just tune them out. They think they're being terrible clever when they write damocrats or repuilicians or similar nonsense, but truly they're idiots.

A person who has thought about the issues in a reflective way would probably sometimes feel liberal toward some issues, moderate toward others and quite conservative in some respects. That means they've thought about it!

It is rather foolish to use one kind of person as a "representative" sample of all of them. Several mean people here "represent" SOME people, but by no means the majority.

They represent the worst in America. We got here because of the anonymity offered by this site. I hope they would expouse their brand of ignorance in public but I could be wrong...

The mean people represent themselves.Their bad behavior sometimes makes others feel there are many like them. Believe me there are enough decent people who do the right thing and respect others.

No, the mean people don't represent America, just the ignorant America.

Most americans are out beating the $hit out of frenchies and sending people to the moon.. this does not represent the people of america

not everyone here is american, for a start (as has been mentioned). also, not everyone on here is american.

that having been said, it does seem like the majority of users are american or angry, and many are both. i hope that it isn't representative of america as a whole, but the evidence is mounting......

When the ACLU started taking one persons opinion and placed it above everybody elses, and forced fed it to everyone, thats when America started getting pissed. America is not mean, they're just pissed.
