There was a show that was on showtime around 1988/1989. It was a one man skit about this guy (I think his name was Steve) that is working in his apartment, trying to finish something for his job, his landlord keeps bugging him, etc. But he gets distracted by himself, sings songs, etc.
This is pretty random...not sure why I thought of it...

I believe it was "The Steven Banks Show" He had one song where he named various dead celebrities
Example" Karen Carpenter died when she was 42
And if you do drugs and don't eat, you'll die too"
Paul McCartney died, but he wasn't dead
That was just a rumor someone said
