Why do some women do the same?
There are many reasons for this very drastic behavior & the issues are complex emotionally. I think they also differ between men & women to a degree.
My personal opinion is that life is precious. I've been through a divorce & it was difficult, but I'm glad I chose life because mine is fantastic now. Especially in comparison to what it was while married.

Men are more often narcissists than women. Men with that type of personality use the woman to be their mirror for creating a false reflection of who they really are. A man like that can be emotionally abusive because he will be trying to push his opinions on her to create a false sense of superiority. The irony in the whole thing is that he really feels inadequate and is more dependent than he would ever admit. They are emotionally weak mamma's boys. They lose the source of their false reflection and they are left weak and hopeless. Faced with the truth about themselves they just give up.

they do??? i thought its more of death by too much partying and booze... kidding aside, its because some men cannot handle extreme emotional stress and divorce is a huge cause of emotional stress because the man will not only lose his family (in a way) but all those things he is comfortable with (he will lose his free maid for starters - LOL) and they have hard time dealing with the fact so they take the easy way out, i.e. killing themselves...

This kind of sounds like a general statement. It certainly isn't true. Of course it could happen, but it could happen to a man or woman with the predisposition for suicide and they could kill themselves if their bananas got blackened.

They either overdid the partying or want to deprive the worthless thing her money tree - like the guy in New York a few months back.

My father did this. Before I was born my father abused my mother and cheated on her. My aunt gave birth to his son a few months before I was born. My mom left my father just before I was born They never got a divorce because he hung himself in the garage when I was 9 months old.

Because they wrongly think they would nevery find another woman. If they knew they wouldn't.

THEY WANT THEIR WIVES TO FEEL GUILTY. THE MEN AREN'T AS MATURE AS WOMEN. THE MEN DON'T WANT TO LOSE HALF OF EVERYTHING.
