I love Popeye's red beans and rice, with the spicey chicken (juicy thighs and wings) where you can actually see some of the cayenne pepper when you bite into it...so juicy and so good, and that crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside, buttery-topped biscuit that you can actually taste the butter in without having to put extra butter on it!

I've always had great service at Popeye's, they've always treated me like I belong there and even once when I was lost in a unruly part of Chicago in the middle of a cold winter night they unlocked their door to let me use their bathroom and gave me GOOD directions to the nearest El station.

I regularly drive 30-40 minutes to the nearest Popeye's just to grab the red beans and rice and a biscuit.

Church's chicken is something i grew up with whenever my parents dropped us off at my grandparent's house for the weekend. It was always cold....but doggone it was some of the best cold fried chicken ever! I still remember the old grease-stained brown box with white and orange writing on it, a bit of butcher paper pokin out of the top. It'd always be a treat because we'd get to eat it after sitting for hours out on a cold windy pier perch-fishing.

Do I love Popeye's and Church's? Definitely. I think it oozes out of my past.

I love thighs and legs with jalapenos at Church's-but I havn't been in a long time. I like Popeye's buffalo nuggets, but they dont serve them too often, or at all anymore I think-they were really good and juicy and spicy hot! I dont have a Popeye's or Church's close, so it KFC for me...

I like them both, but I prefer Church's Chicken. The portions are larger here & it's less greasy. Although when I want spicey, I go to Popeye's.

I like regular pieces at Church's & popcorn bites at Popeye's. (Or whatever they're called. lol)

Better save that change you spend on chicken. Get a tutor to learn how to spell
