I could never understand the appeal of having kids. They're loud, nosiy, selfish creatures. You basically become slaves to them the second they are born and you really have no life of your own anymore. Then in the end they just desert you and put you in some home. It's crazy how some women won't date a guy who says he doesn't want to have kids.
Anybody else agree with me?

I agree with you 100%. I prefer animals! you can leave them all day while you work and they can get along just fine, you can even go away for a weekend and have someone come over once a day and take care of them etc. I get so annoyed going out to eat you can't have a conversation because kids are screaming around you I want to ask for the no kid section.

I don't want children either. I basically raised my brothers and sister because my mom worked full-time and often took call (she's a nurse) so she was rarely home. I guess maybe I feel like I put in my time. Either way, I have never wanted to have children. I have a certain lifestyle that I like and I love spending time w/ guy. We both have super busy schedules so we don't see each other much and that time we have together is very important. I know alot of people will see this as selfish. I don't. I think that if we have these feelings, it's our perogative. To bring a child into our lives when we wouldn't be able to give them all the love and attention they deserve would be unfair to them. That would be selfish. So, I say if you have those feelings don't have children. And if women won't date you because of it then they aren't the right one for you anyway. If they were they would understand your point of view and agree to live their lives that way or they would already share your views. Welllll, sometimes. I never liked kids til I had my own. Yes, they are trying at times and it's not easy raising them but, if you do a good job of it and not dump them on others while you go out to bars and act like a spoiled child yourself, well, they can be very rewarding. I'm so very proud of mine. They have turned out to be people to be proud of and they are very good to me. I can't see them ever putting me in a home. I hope to die before then anyhow. But, I don't see anything wrong with opting to not have kids. That's way more responsible than having them and not doing right by them. It is a lifetime committment and guess what? There are women out there who feel just like you do. Good for you.

You are entitled to your opinion. Personally I think that if all people who realized that they hate kids or wouldn't be good parents, didn't have them, we would have less abused children! Good for you for realizing this before it was too late. Although I do have to say that before I had my daughter I also hated kids but I love her more than anything in the world! I still dislike other peoples kids but Mine are cool

At least you know and tell the women up front! Course it does sound a little selfish but everyone can be selfish every once in awhile. I can't wait to have children of my own.

umm ok you ppl do realize you were once the object of what you hate so much...so i guess we should all stop reproducing cuz you didnt like who you were so therefore you dont like anyone who is a kid now...yeah lets think about this here. kids have to be a lil selfish cuz they fully cant do everything on there own. and you can still have a life if you have a kid. i am 21 and have a daughter, i still got to go out and get trashed for my 21st birthday and was still able to take care of my kid the next day. i still go out and hang with my friends and i am able to work a full time job. so how is it that i dont have a life?? grow up and get a life!!

Uh...I don't really understand how you can completely hate kids when you once WERE a kid. You have to realize they grow into people just like you, and they're only following human nature.
But I don't plan to have (biological) kids because my genes are messed up.
