I don't see anything wrong about gays and lesbians. Except that they are disobeying what God wanted.

I personally don't see anything wrong with exposing children to homosexuality. They are exposed to heterosexuality and no one thinks twice about that. As long as the children are taught that the important factor is that the two people love each other, how is it going to mess them up any more than they already will be by this world we are currently living in?

Hey kid, don't worry about the sensitive responses some people have.

You have been taught it is disobeying God -- I don't happen to agree, but there are complex reasons for that, not least that my initial college training was in theology, and I'm by no stretch a literalist.

You are kind to think we are ok. I think we are too -- and I think straight people are. But bigots are bigots, and they always use religious texts when they can. For many years the Bible was used to justify slavery. When slavery went away it was used to justify the KKK -- so I don't put alot of stock into that part of things -- beyond that though there is not reason not to expose kids to homosexuality. I raised two -- you could ask them, they are grown now, but would tell you the same.

Thanks again.

Peace,

Reyn

moniushko,
Sounds like your mum and pop don't monitor your surf habits. What's wrong with your parents? Your problem is in your home.

If you were walking down the street and walked into a gay bar unnoticed, you'd probably see somethings that are not a part of your upbringing. So why start now? If you think that you are acting like a child by being here, then leave, unless you want to act like a child.

If you are lying about what your age is, then your little experiment is false. But you have your answers, don't you?

Your question is interesting, albeit disturbing. The fact that you're only 12 explains a lot...

There is great debate over whether there is a god or not. I personally don't believe, but hey, whatever rocks people's boats.

I think it's important to be open with children, if they initiate the conversation...Open, but tactful.

You have a lot to learn, but it appears you have thought some higher concepts through...you might be "one of the good ones."

Keep questioning....

That's assuming God exists, and does not approve of homosexuality. It's the bible that says no to gays, but keep in mind the bible was written by men who were trying to crush feminism.

Anyways, I have absolutely nothing against gays and lesbians. I quite admire them, but it is something of a fact it's a natural instinct for men to procreate with women in order to "continue the species" - the intention of sexual reproduction. I'm not sure how or why, but this instinct is redirected towards members of the opposite sex in gay people. There's a whole lot of psychology behind it (Freud's especially) but children should probably grow up wanting to continue the species.

I am gay and I don't believe God creates what he doesn't want.. I see absolutely nothing wrong with exposing children to homosexuality...every child in my extended family has known from birth that I was gay...no big deal.

Children are exposed to a lot of things alot worse than homosexuality and such, god look at tv and video games and listen to the music.. alternate lifestyles are so common now.. .I think kids are much more accepting than so many narrow minded adults. And I don't think God would be too upset about gays and all so long as they are happy. besides I think he has some bigger fish to fry than that.

Young children don't need to be 'exposed' to any kind of sexual behavior. They learn naturally that relationships are OK, and that some people have two mommies or daddies, not one of each.

As they reach puberty, they may have more questions about sexuality, in which case those questions should be addressed truthfully, but as simply as possible. Question: "Do gay people have sex like you do?" Answer "Yes, all loving couples have sex. It's a way of showing how much you love your partner".

There's no need for more information than is necessary.

children should be able to learn about all different kinds of people...to learn about the diversity of this world. and that there is nothing wrong with someone who is "different."

the three considerable religions of the worldwide evaluate homosexuality a sin. this could be so until the top of the worldwide. This, blended with the rush to make homosexuality ideal will bring about conflict in this situation until the top of time. it is largely a actuality that all of us might desire to settle for. How this conflict is to be dealt with is the only element we are able to handle. What human beings have faith can in no way be legislated, basically how we act. balloting on comparable intercourse marriage? people who have faith it to be sin will constantly vote against it. Argue all you like, it is the way it rather is going to be. (nevertheless i've got faith it rather is silly and unsafe for homosexuals to allow themselves to be placed on government lists as homosexuals.) coaching infants our ideals? ALL mothers and fathers tutor their infants what they have faith - to think of or say in any different case is stupid. Is it "coaching hate"? From a Christian attitude, it rather is from a place of affection that salvation with the aid of Christ is presented. If we believed somebody became doing some thing that would desire to convey them the wrath of God, and stored silent - that would desire to be hating the guy. i think of we want college vouchers so all mothers and fathers can deliver their teenagers to faculties that tutor what the determine needs taught (ALL faculties have an schedule - there is not any such element as "independent" coaching.) And all mothers and fathers might desire to sense this form. in the present day, public faculties are extraordinarily plenty interior the palms of a liberal team - and liberal mothers and fathers are pleased with the schedule being pushed. interior the 50's it became probably Christian mothers and fathers who have been pleased with that decade's college schedule. I anticipate that interior the subsequent twenty years interior the country, it rather is going to be Muslims who would be pleased with the regular public college schedule. law and courtroom judgements in this situation would be happening from now on. And it fairly is style of risky. What "behaviour" would be regulated? What "speech" would be regulated? Already, in our protection stress, the 1st replace now not exists for chaplains. they are able to now not pray in Jesus' call, nor can they say that homosexuality is sin. To take Jesus far off from a chaplain is to make him an earthly counsellor - the word chaplain shouldn't additionally be used anymore.
