Because of your mindset. Try changing it by looking at what you do have intstead of what you don't have.

First thing every morning get up and thank God out loud (ok, you can whisper) for all of the good things in your life-- then list some of them.."thank you for letting me wake up alive and healthy..." You'll get better as you practice more.
Then, spend some time each day NOT trying to find comfort for yourself. Focus your attention on doing things that help others, not yourself.
Sometimes taking the focus off of ourselves (and our imperfections, latest problems, etc.) and using it for the good of someone else will lighten your heart.

You don't want to feel comfort because you don't feel you deserve it. I am not sure where your guilt is from, not that it matters, but that is where you start to find comfort. Decide to accept your actions and their results, restore the balance in your life and you will find the path to comfort.

Jesus and music, that's what's keeping my blood flowing. preferably Taking Back Sunday. ( a band ) they sing about things that are real, they have great vocals, and great guitars and bass. theyre a bit rockish-punk. and they're really great guys, and they have the greatest sense of humor. ( look them up on youtube.com and you can see them being crazy and funny, they just make you wanna hang out with them - also the lead singer is hott )

Your looking in the wrong places. Why not try God? Jesus has worked for me and continues to help me everyday of my life. Seriously Jesus will work for you too. Just open your heart and ask Him to come into your life. He will. And this is where your comfort will begin. God Bless you.

You don't see the beauty of life. In other words, you just don't truly see. Better get some serious spectacles.
