Ok my friend who was recently dumped about three weeks ago for some reason thinks she loves anyone she goes out with. First she was really depressed because she thought she loved the guy who dumped her! Now she and a guy who dated before (whom she cheated on without guilt) got back together last week. Now she's really upset because she says she loves him and he doesn't love her back. Now he's avoiding her cuz she's coming on a little strong! Well me and my boyfriend have been going out for three months and are going slow, well she wants what we have(the mental aspect PLUS she wants physical too!) like NOW so she constantly compares her and her loser boyfriend to us. How do I convince her to slow down OR dump him. She acts like all she wants is physical not mental and physical.IT'S REALLY HARD NOT TO MAKE HER UPSET I MADE HER CRY ALREADY WHAT DO I SAY???????

I made her cry by telling her he doesn't deserve her! She's really caught up in this plus she's ditched all her detentions so every day she skips and she's gotton detention every day. When you ditch the hours double (we've been in school for 1 1/2 months try that math)

She sounds selfish. She's in love with being in love with no regard for who she loves. That's all wrong. She needs to get a grip. Stop wanting so much and let true love take it's course. Tell her that. If she can't handle the truth she can't handle love, guys, friendships or relationships. And she can't handle you. She needs to grow up. Let her know that.

First of all, you can not change anyone but yourself, no matter how hard you try, they have to want to change! You sound like a real good friend and I have to agree with some of the others, tell it like it is and if she cries, maybe that is what she needs. I don't know how old she is but it sounds like her self esteem needs allot of work. When you talk to her don't forget to remind her of all she is putting at risk, HIV,STDs and she needs to learn how to be comfortable with herself before she can truly love someone. She sounds like,as someone else said, she is in love with being in love. Also, she has no idea what the meaning of love is, being so much more that sexual, she is going to keep getting dumped as unfortunately she already has a reputation. I would talk to her one more time and if that does not work and if you see more signs of depression or suicidal thoughts , you have to let someone professional know, school counselor, parent?(they don't need to know everything right away, it should come from her). She is searching for something she is not going to find jumping from one guy/bed to another, she needs some help. Don't let her ruin your life though because this could become a full time job for you and she needs more help that you can give. Good luck Hon.

She is looking for attention. The end of the relationship has her shaken. Try telling her you know she is having a hard time and not thinking clearly. Ask her if she would like you to let her know when she is doing something she may regret later, just until she has had a chance to let her emotions settle. That way you are getting her permission to give your friendly advice.

Talk to her about the way she,s acting. and if that does n,t work do not talk to her for 2 weeks or so. she will get the hint that you do not like her comparing her self and loser boyfriend to you and your boy friend tell her slow down. she does not that's her problem.

She sounds like she's just in love with love, not really the person. Watch her with your BF!
