I have to be on the computer a lot due to my job. When I go home at night I get these splitting headaches. I am sure this is because I am on the computer a lot. Every day I am not on the computer too much I don't get them. Popping Advil every day seems to work, but I am afraid of long term effects. Any advice would be appreciated.

every 30 min or so take a 5 min break. the headache is caused by three things, eye strain tension and repetitive hand movements (keyboard and mouse) Lock your fingers behind head and gently rotate head and shoulders left and right several times (5X works for me). I also place Left fingers on left cheekbone and rotate neck/Head by gently pushing then repeating to the right (again 5X) or what ever works. Good luck

Have your eyes checked!!! I needed glasses and didn't know it.

Also, your monitor may be displaying incorrectly, not enough you would notice but it causes eye strain. There are screens you can buy to keep your eyes from being affected by this so much.

My optometrist asked me right off the bat how much time I spend on the computer, and she had me move my monitor so it's closer? It really helped!

Bring it up at your eye exam and see where they have you place yours to make it easiest on your vision.
