Dinosaurs didn't really fail, they where killed off by a chaotic explosion, droubt, meteor, whateverothertheoriesthereare.
NASA has already launched some self-distruct sattlites on threating astriods and had them blow up on the surface to move their orbit just enough to not be a threat to Earth for another few 1000 years. threat of astriods, comfortably small
Droubt? We can handle that with technology!
I think overall we're pretty fine.

One would have to submit to the "Theory " that dinosaurs lived and died so long ago. True repeatable and testable "science" bears out that there was a cataclysmic flood within the last 10,000 years or so ago that cause a huge shift in the way things lived and died. Now...if evolution is such a perfect theory, where are all the transitional "species" that should be around to lead us to the belief that man was once more ape like and so on. To that, where are the new species "evolving" now. The faith required to believe in this fantasy is quite incredible. When mount St. Helen erupted. Trees were petrified in a matter of hours, not millions of years as science likes to boast. We don't know as much as we think we do. Question everything and follow the money. Darwin got rich on his theory (that he recanted prior to his death) But pseudo scientists and professors that can't or won't do any real research themselves continue to suckle the great pork barrels hind tit for their mothers milk and the admiration of their fellow believers....What a ridiculous question.....Please feel free to contact me if you think you could possibly have anything to refute these humble statements.

Dinosaurs did not fail.
They survived three periods spanning a hundred and sixty million years. And there are more species living on Earth today that descend from theropod dinosaurs than there are mammals - roughly six thousand species to three thousand.
Yes, to this day birds - who descend from small theropod dinosaurs of the Jurassic - still outnumber mammals.

I think we already succeeded, in the fact that we're sentient, aren't we? Plus, with our minds we can go anywhere from here. Especially if we can get past this narcissistic (however you spell that) kick we're on, heal the earth and treat all life fairly, and open the other 90% of our brain. I think that's why it's closed to us right now. Who wants a god running around loose, with a big ego....okay, I got lost out in left field again! Better go!
Peace :)

you mean, will we turn into more oil for the next group?
I don't know what the goal of dinasaurs was, so I don't know if they failed
I am also wondering what you think the goal of humanity is, in order to decide if we succeed or fail
