Does anyone know how exactly they freeze the hockey rink?Do they have refrigeration systems under the flooring??

that's exactly what they do...there are pipes that run underneath the cement flooring, they flood the surface and turn on the refrigeration system....takes a few days for the ice to really harden to where it needs to be.

Yep, there are pipes under the cement floor that freeze the surface above, at least at the Air Canada Centre. Just visited Toronto last week and toured the Air Canada Centre.

they have plumbing and stuff bellow the surface

yes they do.unless you live in very cold place then you can do it outdoors.
