Why is people feel the need to bash our leaders, and yet don't do anything but b*tch and moan in chat rooms and coffee shops. Also if our country is so incompassionate why is that millions of people each and every year give up everything they have and pick up and move to the US and still thousands die before even reaching our borders or shores. Do people understand that we are the greatest country in the world and we have to keep things in order and be the one making those tough moves.

I guess my question is, do people living in the US really hate this country so much and think it is so horrible? If so, why do you stay?

You must not have done very well in school. One great thing about our country is that we have the RIGHT to criticize our government. Our forefathers died assuring us this right.

Just because we hate the current leader, who is trying to rule the world, does not mean we hate our country. Get it?

Your ignorance is appalling.

One of the unique and paraxadoxical things about America is that it has foundation of criticism and rebellion against authority and government while at the same time being a country that offers the best opportunity to attain an economic status that most other countries cannot offer. A small piece of this economic issue is the fact that as a country we are still very young and people can literally find acres of space so there is always the opportunity to build a large luxurious house for a relatively low cost.

People do hate the leadership and action of the government of the United States. They should the government has done some truelly evil and foul things during its history. This hatred of factual actions does not interfere with love for the ideals and principals of the United States.

Everyone by definition has a right to state that they hate the actions of this country and the materalistic culture that we live in. It is their right and if we didn't have that right we would not be as prosperous as we are now. If you believe in something in America you can stand up and convince other people of your ideas. But the freedom that lets you stand, also lets your opponent stand and oppose with twice the amount of energy and conviction. If you take a stand on an issue in this country you will be held accountable for it and challenged on it.

But you won't disappear in the middle of the night. Your econcomic opportunities may change but they will not disappear. You will not go to jail and you will not have run and hide from a death squad.

I know I rambled a little but I hope I shed some light on your question.

Sure there are other nice places on earth, the country I was born in is pretty nice but it sure doesn't come close to the USA. Most regimes have been at least somewhat oppressive. The USA is more than a country, it is an extraordinary phenomenon that might come along only once in the history of Human kind. We might not want to squander it since those coming after us might not have another chance at it.

Sounds like you don't know that most countries require you to have a visa and work permit to live there; that's why you have to make the best of your own country. Very few countries would welcome you unless you are v. wealthy, even then many apply immigration law equally and have principles so would not take you.
What you're trying to say is that everyone should agree w. you or leave which ironically is exactly the opposite of what America was supposed to be all about!
You'll need to get a basic education to ask sensible questions, I suppose you could keep trying and learn the hard way.

One hasn't anything to do with the other! I was born here!

There is no doubt that this country took a very bad turn with George Bush and as lovers of this country, we plan to fix that very soon!

I stay because it belongs to me and 200 million other Americans, not to George Bush! Not to Dick Cheney! Not to Exxon! Not to big business and not to the wealthy! They count no more, or less, than I do!

We are tired of a few people taking advantage of us, that was how Rome became ruled by one person who brought them down the tubes!

I have a right to say what I want! That is a right I will not have George Bush take away from me! Too many people have given their lives for that cause, and it isn't appreciated as you would not make that stock, rerun, statement that you have done! I heard you guys complaining about Clinton and Bush wouldn't make a pimple on his butt!

I earned my right in Vietnam! I did my share, and more! What have you done?

I stay, because,I was born here, and can't change anything. If you had a child that was yours, and was taken from you due to no error on your part, and you could do nothing but sit and wait for the "system" to return your child, how would YOU feel? Tons of people do just that, they say they do it for the child's own good, and then let the REAL perpertrators go free to kill and rape other little children. You'd call that justice? It's a wonderful country isn't it? There are children starving HERE

See already..,people have started with the name calling and thats due to the lack of intelligence or an education. Its amazing that many of our soldiers have degrees and they know they are fighting a just cause and they stand behind our President and its leaders.Yet the left want to continually denegrate our soldiers, our country and the people who stand behind America. The left continues the name calling yet never come up with ideas to better our country. We are not a perfect country and we do not have a perfect government but I tell you what..,I am Proud to be an American,I am Proud of our Soldiers and I am Proud of our Country..,GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!! And thank you troops for giving the American haters the freedom to open their uneducated mouths.lol..,

It is human nature to complain, but you are right, love it or leave it, this is my home and I can't think of a better country to live in even with the blaring faults that the rest of the world so nicely points out.

I am a proud American! Born & raised right here in the good ole' USA!

Even though its hard sometimes, I have learned that its better to just stand up to what we believe in, than to try and reason with the ignorant. Its one thing to disagree, but to "hate"?? Lets remember one thing, it was HATRED that flew those planes into those buildings, killing thousands of innocents.... To me, hatred is hatred no matter who its coming from, so what category does that put these Americans in? The same as those terrorists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very good question!! You will get no takers however. Particularly if they have been to any other countries.Yet, they continue to moan and groan and create hatreds that they can't even rationalize as not only being detrimental to the country but also to their own health.

Have you ever been outside of this country??

There are some really fine places to live. I myself wouldn't choose to leave this country, because the Blue Ridge Mountains aren't anwywhere else.

This country can and should do more for itself to make it an even better place to be.
