Absolutely; It happens to us all and rarely can we change anything. YOU meet someone who turns your body into mush, and lust, and you can only dream of her (or him in your case). It'll get better but will never go away:). YThe memories will neve leave you so just enjoy them:)

Yes, but if it's meant to be ...it will be. If you love something, set it free. If it never returns to you, it was never yours to begin with. I am engaged to my best friend in the whole world. We met 11 years ago and never dated until 3 years ago. It's all in the timing!
