I am not sure the world is getting worse. A lot of the things going on now, were going on 200 years ago and longer. Remember Sodom and Gomorah? The only difference is now we hear about everything from tv, the internet, etc... We now live in the information age to where you read stories about everything from the stupidest petty criminal in Poohkipsee NY to the craziest dictator in some South American country.

A lot of Africans would disagree based on their enslavement then overt discrimination. A lot of Japanese Americans and Jews would disagree during WWII, then the Vietnam war (which is kind of like right now) ... are we just feeling this way because ALL of this nation is being hated- including white Americans, and feeling scared? I think because it's more personal now that we are having to pay attention. The world has been at war forever.

Its not, but the media wont get the ratings they want if they don't make it sound like the end of the world is just around the corner. History is full of tragedy, but we easily forget.

Yep...this question has been asked for centuries....I'm sure the the lowly Russian peasant scratched his head and asked the same question after the Mongol hordes passed through his village.
The world has ever been the world and thus it will ever be.

I haven't noticed the world getting worse. It is at the same miserable level it has always been at.

ummmm because of bush....he just had to try and finish what his daddy couldn't....opened up a whole new can of worms...
